Mini-Golf, Go-Carting, Ice Cream, and Yard Games

When we weren't camping, we needed something to do.  It gave us a chance to do some things that we don't normally do - and we had a blast!  First was Go-Carting.  It's only been here for a year or so, and we hadn't been there before.  I have to say, the carts were way faster than I thought they would be!  Keri better look out, because Morgan was a speed demon on those things.  She out-raced us all.  And caused a few wrecks trying to bump a fellow competitor out of the way so she could get ahead :) I wish someone had told me I would need Dramamine before getting on these things.  I was a little queasy after a few rounds!
Waiting to get started..

Mike loved it! Note Morgan in the car behind him,  She wasn't there long..

CRASH!  Here comes the attendant to turn Morgan around and start the race again

Back home, we decided we needed a fire and s'mores..

Taylor suggested the kids race in the back yard - this was the bear crawl.  They raced to the fence and back to the deck.  Watch the chain of events in the pictures below. I really should have had a video because they were all laughing so hard they rolled down the hill by the end of the race!

Taylor was laughing so hard!

Aydin wins!  Liam rolls in at a close second

Taylor's turn to take part in the races - wheelbarrow race is next!

Liam says, "I win!"

Back from Camping after 3 days, let's go mini-golfing!
This is the before shot...

Uh oh.. that's a dark cloud.. and thunder..

Hey!  Who called for rain?!

Oh well... might as well dance!

Within a few seconds, the sky opened up and we had to run back to the car!  But first, let's take a photo.  Liam and I were under the gutter run-off!  Yikes - soaking wet, and only got through 13 holes.  Liam was not pleased.  The next hole had a cave, and that's the one he was waiting for.  We had to promise to go back to finish our round another day..

Well, we were already wet.. the rain slowed on our way home so we stopped for ice cream at Taylor's favorite place.  Our local florist opened an ice cream shop - it's a perfect place for a summer afternoon.  Even in the rain!

Such a great day!
