The kids were in school all week while we were here, so we didn't get a chance to do very much. We all decided that 5 days of school was just too much this week - Friday was a perfect day to play hookie and go to the zoo! It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. Thanks for spending the day with us Aydin, Morgan, and Liam!! And thanks for being the photographer for the day Taylor - you got some great pictures!
Aydin and Morgan at the Sting Ray pool waiting to touch the sting rays. As you can imagine, Liam had to try to touch them too and left there soaking wet.
We got to the zoo early in the day when it was still cool, so we were able to see a lot of the animals up close before they went to hide from the heat.

One of my favorite things was being able to feed the giraffes. Everyone got a few pieces of lettuce and the giraffes came right up to the fence. Aydin was the first one in line.

The kids were absolutely enthralled with the butterfly tent. It was a new exhibit at the zoo, so none of us had ever seen it before. There were a ton of butterflies flying around everywhere. They were even able to catch a few!

This was a great way to spend our last day before Steve and Keri got home from their trip - We all loved it and had a great time! I LOVE the zoo!
