WCVT Golf Tournament

We golfed in the 2nd annual golf tournament for Dad a few weeks ago, so I thought you'd like to see some pictures. It started off cloudy, but it turned out to be a nice day - it rained a little around lunchtime, but not for more than a couple of holes. We had a great time! It was not an easy day for any of us, but it was nice to be there.

Wait a second is that a hockey puck? Oh no - it's a golf ball...Taylor's not a bad golfer! She's easily as good as Heather, probably better with her natural hockey swing! She had some awesome drives, but she definitely liked driving the cart more than anything... and who wouldn't at 15....

and since we wouldn't take Taylor to the beach this summer, she couldn't resist writing her name in the sand...almost as good as a sand castle:) OK, maybe a real beach next summer... hint, hint :)

Is it any surprise that Mom won the prize for the longest drive for the women! Yes, she's awesome!

Each year, the WCVT tournament dedicates a memorial plaque to the 1st place team. The plaque is in memory of Dad and his dedication and service to the company. Greg and Eric Haskins really appreciated all our help this year coupled with the donations from Jan and Lenny. The team loved the plaque, but I think the favorite gift was the cat head and tail golf club covers - they were a huge hit!

As soon as we arrived at West Bolton, Bill told us about the plaque they were dedicating. A nice stone and plaque were placed at the 11th hole! As you can see we were all thrilled!

Dad was a great golfer but he was always challenged by this hole...he always hit a ball into the water! So doing our best, we were sure to hit one into the pond for each of us, just for good measure. It's nice to think of all the golfers who will play on that course and will laugh over a beer about putting a ball into Blonski's pond...
