Father's Day Hike

Taylor loves to hike and spends most of the summer in the mountains with her friends.  This year for Father's Day, we decided to take Mike on a hike to Sterling Pond in Smuggler's Notch.  It's about a 2 1/2 - 3 hour round trip hike and the weather was beautiful!
Taylor signed us in, and we were on our way -

The beginning of the hike was pretty steep!

Such good sports - always smiling for my pictures :)
"Wait!  Stop right there and turn around!"

We made it to the pond

Just beyond the pond we hiked up to the top of one of the ski lifts - kind of fun to see it without snow, and of course to climb to the top of one of the poles..

We met two of Taylor's friends on the way up.  It's a popular place to go!

Couldn't resist this photo op!

At the end of the hike, we hit our favorite burger place in Jeffersonville - The Burger Barn.  It's always worth the drive, but especially today.  What a great way to start the summer!
