York, Maine

By the end of July, we were all going a little stir crazy.  Taylor had been in a cast or a boot for almost 12 weeks and we hadn't really had a summer with all the rain we've had this year.
So - on the spur of the moment, we decided to head to Maine to see the ocean for the weekend. And what a great weekend it turned out to be! Sunny and 80, sitting in the sand.. it was amazing

Nubble Light House

Grain Surfboard Shop - turns out, when the waves are amazing, and the sun is out, the shop is closed... who knew?!

Dinner!  What's a trip to Maine without lobster?!  Taylor wasn't thrilled that this one was looking at us..

The life of a photographer's assistant.. Taylor got grandma and I up to see the sunrise on the beach - and I shleped the backpack of equipment for her.  Grandma looked less than pleased at getting up at 5:15am, but she was much happier after getting coffee at 6!
