After not playing hockey this year, Taylor missed being part of a team. When two of her best friends decided to play rugby, she thought it might be fun. Not only is she having fun, she absolutely LOVES it! Maybe because it's a club sport rather than a varsity sport so it's a little more laid back, maybe because the girls are so great - whatever it is, she has found her thing. I was as surprised as anyone - she's played every sport known to man since she was five years old - soccer, hockey, baseball, softball, lacrosse, track... The other day she said, "Now I know why people love sports! I LOVE THIS GAME!"
Today was their first game - as a first year player, she wasn't sure if she'd play, but she was in for the whole second half. Not only that, she almost scored and had a fantastic hit toward the end of the game! Maybe this IS her sport. Not bad for the first time out..
