Finally at Disney World!!!

Hurray! We had all been looking forward to this trip for months. Steve, Keri, and the kids drove down from Jacksonville and met us at the airport. From there, we checked into our hotel - The Shades of Green. It was beautiful - and right by the monorail, which made it easy for us to get around! Wait - did i say it was easy? Leaving the hotel was definitely easy - they had a big golf cart that would take us to the end of the property and then we'd walk to the monorail. The only problem with the golf cart (or, the Shady Shuttle as it was called) was that it was a one way trip. On the way home, we had to walk back to the hotel.. After walking around the park all day, it felt like a LONG trip! :)

Here we are, all piled onto the shuttle.  Looks like mom is hanging on tight - no wonder - she does have Aydin and Morgan squeezed next to her.  And there are 9 of us plus a stroller!

Front of the hotel.  I loved the waterfalls.

Keri was dying to see an alligator..  We never did, even though the shuttle driver said they were always out at sunset.  Although, I'm not sure we were ever back at the hotel at sunset..

The Navy flag in front of the hotel.  The Shades of Green is on Disney property, but owned by the military.  It was a great place to stay.  Thanks Steve!!

I wished for a great family vacation - which it definitely was!

Stay tuned for the rest of the trip!!!
