Washington was sooo much fun! The highlight of our trip was probably going to the white house. That morning we were running late and all of the chaperones - except my mom, of course - were stressing us all out and saying that we might not make it to the white house. I was completely freaking out but Mom was saying that there was nothing we could do, if we get there, we get there. If we dont then we dont. But we did make it! we were a little late but we got there. It was actually a good thing though because just as we got there, the security guard pulls everyone aside and tells us that Barack Obama, the president of the United States, was just about to leave the white house by helicopter and he had invited us to come watch!!! So yes, I SAW OBAMA!!!!!! And not only did i get to see him leave, but we got to watch him in front of the white house - like within reaching distance - while the helicopter landed on the front lawn!!! it was soooo cool!!!!!
Ahh, the bus. we spent what seemed like endless amounts of time on that thing, including two nights where I think I got less than three or four hours of sleep each time. And as much fun as it was, I was really happy about finally getting off when we got back home.
